Optical Bonding
Lucent Gel SOCA
Lucent gel is a proprietary silicone based solid optically clear adhesive (SOCA). Lucent gel has a number of advantages over acrylic based liquid adhesives. Lucent Gel is a solid sheet pre-cured to an even thickness and can be pre-cut into shapes specified by customers. Lucent Gel is a versatile, durable, and convenient adhesive. When we use this material for laminating the touch panel and LCD panel, your product will be able to meet the requirements for passing the essential certifications.

Lucent Gel Specifications
Optical Bonding
AMT specializes in using OCA dry bonding technology. We use our self-developed Lucent Gel OCA, so we have full control over its optically clear adhesive properties, which can enable your display to achieve optimal optical performance! Your products will be more durable, with better visual effects, and better touch performance.
AMT Optical Bonding Features
Uses our own Lucent Gel solid optically clear adhesive (SOCA)
SOCA has no curing process and is not prone to stress Mura
No curing process required, no stress Mura
Fixture & Vacuum lamination technology
Low bonding and defoaming pressure. Suitable for displays that are not resistant to high pressure (such as OLED, EPD, Open Cell).
Suitable for 3D (lamination surface 2D, appearance 3D) or plastic parts lamination.
Multi-fixture lamination
AMT Optical Bonding Support
For optical bonding, AMT can provide Lucent Gel in different thicknesses, including 0.5mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, and 1.5mm. Based on the structure and size of the touch panel and LCD panel, AMT will choose the most suitable thickness of SOCA for lamination. If a thicker SOCA is required, we will discuss closely with the customers to fit their needs. AMT supports all types of bonding:
Touch panel, Cover glass, Plastic housing
All types of bonding, including flat, irregular, or curved surfaces
Bezel LCD, Cell Tape LCD, Open Cell, OLED, EPD
Unique Optical Bonding Technology
Some LCD panels on the market tend to have a narrow frame design. When the frame of the LCD panel is very narrow with a thicker SOCA, after optical bonding, a bright line at the edge of the active area might be seen when looking at the LCD panel sideways. AMT uses a special process and optical bonding technology to remove the bright line when you look at it sideways.
